Creeping Oregon Grape

Mahonia repens 

This low, sprawling North American native shrub features leathery, spiny, green foliage, and sprays of bright yellow spring flowers that are followed by clusters of blue-black fruit in late summer. Excellent for use as a groundcover in a woodland garden, or in a small shrub grouping. Provides effective erosion control for slopes.
