Karl Foerster Calamagrostis (Feather Reed Grass)

Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' 

This is a cool season,  clumping grass with a compact, erect growth habit. It has magnificent, wheat-like seed heads that appear in late spring and last all season long. Karl Foerster provides a great backdrop for lower growing, flowering perennials. A good choice for heavy clay soils.
