Hoya obovata 'Spash' (Wax Plant)
Hoya obovata 'Spash'
Hoya obovata 'Splash', also known as wax plant, is a succulent vine which produces clusters of fragrant star-shaped waxy flowers. The thick round shape leaves have splashes of white, silver or even pink variegation on them.
Once a Hoya starts to put on flower buds do not disturb it, and after it has bloomed don't remove the spent flowers. Allow the dead flowers to fall off on their own. This interesting plant doesn't like to be repotted unless it's absolutely necessary.
Hoya Basic Care: Medium
- Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect light and needs at least some natural light so place it somewhere with windows nearby.
- Water: Treat it like a succulent—allow the soil to dry out completely between watering.
- Soil/Drainage: This plant needs a well-draining soil mix.
- Temperature/Humidity: Normal household temperatures are acceptable. Higher humidity is preferred but not essential.
