Ficus pumila ‘Quercifolia’ (String of Frogs'

Ficus pumila ‘Quercifolia'

Ficus pumila ‘Quercifolia’, sometime called String of Frogs or Miniature Oakleaf Fig, is an adorable, dwarf evergreen houseplant with tiny, bright green leaves that resemble frogs or oakleaves. They leaves stay under 1/2 inch in size. They are carried on trailing stems, forming a low mat of foliage.

Ficus Basic Care: Easy/Medium

  • Water: Let the soil almost completely dry out between waterings. These plants appreciate a consistent watering schedule, as they can be quite dramatic when neglected.
  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light.
  • Soil/Drainage: Best in a loose, well-draining tropical mix.
  • Temperature/Humidity: Prefers warm conditions and should be kept away from drafty areas. While higher humidity is ideal, it can adapt to normal household humidity levels.
