Begonia amphioxus
Begonia amphioxus
Begonia amphioxus has leaves that are lance shaped and pointed at both ends. The large maroon spots on the narrow green leaves give it an “other worldly” appearance. The flowers are green and have an unusual shape but not very showy.
Begonia Basic Care: Easy/Medium
- Watering: Keep it balanced—neither soaked nor parched. Let the top inch of soil dry out before watering again.
- Light: Prefers bright to moderate indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch those tender leaves.
- Soil/Drainage: Thrives in a peat-based, well-draining soil mix.
- Temperature/Humidity: Loves moderate to high humidity. Average room temperature works but keep it away from frost.
