Jurassic Watermelon Begonia's attractive large twisted heart-shaped leaves remain rose in color with distinctive lime green edges and tinges of brown throughout the year. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant.
Jurassic Watermelon Begonia is an herbaceous annual with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its medium texture blends into the garden, but can always be balanced by a couple of finer or coarser plants for an effective composition.
Begonias like shadier spots, too much sun will burn their leaves. They also like soil that stays evenly moist. A good peat soil mix will keep the soil moist.
Feed using Jack's Houseplant Special during spring and summer months to encourage growth.
