Chinkapin Oak Tree

Quercus muehlenbergii 

This medium-sized oak has an open, rounded crown. The interesting sharp-toothed foliage is a dark yellow-green above with a whitish cast to the underside. Striking, yellow-orange fall foliage. Adaptable to many soil types and is one of the more alkaline tolerant oaks.
